Jon Terry, FCA


As a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years experience in accountancy, Jon has spent the last few years running Blackman Terry as Managing Partner.

As Managing Partner of Blackman Terry Jon has greatly enjoyed the challenge of building a client base for the practice which ranges from start-ups to large corporates. Jon ensure that at Blackman Terry we always aim to provide a level of service and attention to detail which identifies key savings for our clients. Our strap line ‘Accountancy that pays for itself’ is not just a set of words, we can genuinely say we achieve this time and time again.

Jon has two daughters who certainly keep him grounded in life. When Jon gets some time to himself he expresses his artistic self through a local Theatre group.

Charles Fowler TD DL FCA


Charles trained with Price Waterhouse in London and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1972. After qualifying, he spent two years in the firm’s Special Services Department, looking after a large number of newly incorporated and small business clients. Since then he has worked as a financial director in the printing industry and later in commodities. Charles obtained his accountancy Practising Certificate in 1983, and set up his own practice in 2000.

Prabh Singh ACCA


Prabh is an ACCA member with BA (Hons). He has 13 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice environment, offering tax planning and advice for Individuals, Companies, Unincorporated businesses and Trusts. Prabh deals with all Personal Tax related work and enquiries for Individuals, Sole-Traders, Partnerships and Trusts, which include Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax. Prabh specialises in tax issues for Non-Resident Individuals and Non-Resident companies. Prabh can also assist with advice on Corporation Tax and, VAT cross-border issues.

Mark Ticehurst FCCA

Tax Manager

Mark is our experienced tax manager, with over 18 years of experience in the accountancy industry. Having previously worked for Blackman terry on a self-employed basis, Mark joined as a full-time member of staff in February 2015.

Mark specialises in accounts preparation, from sole traders through to the larger corporate companies, together with overseeing clients’ personal tax affairs, which often goes hand in hand.

When he’s not at work you will often find him around a pool table, having first picked up a cue at the age of 8 Mark now plays weekly for a pub team within the Lewes and District pool league.

Helen Bryant

Business Development Manager

Helen’s role is varied, but includes marketing, recruitment and business development. One of her main roles includes meeting existing and potential clients, to find out more about what they really want from an accountant, and topics that are of interest to them. We regularly run business seminars so getting to know people really helps with deciding on the topics for these.

Throughout Helen’s career she has worked for a large blue-chip company in a variety of roles. Whilst this has given her a great foundation, she really enjoys the benefits of having a detailed understanding of the whole business and all its team, who are all passionate about Blackman Terrys success and the success of its clients.

Helen likes to keep busy and active both at work and at home. Her two young children help to keep her fit! She is a runner in training and is proud to have completed the Royal Parks half marathon, albeit some time ago now!

Lawrence Rose ACA

Accounts Manager

Lawrence joined our team in 2014 as a trainee accountant, and qualified as an ACA in 2018. Before joining our team Lawrence studied for a degree in business administration at Kent University.

Lawrence is always developing his accountancy knowledge and since qualifying has excelled in his role.

In his spare time Lawrence enjoys keeping fit and can regularly be found in the gym.

Elizabeth Emery MAAT, AATQB

Assistant Accountant

Elizabeth joined Blackman Terry in 2014 as a trainee accountant, partially qualified for the AAT. Elizabeth has since completed her AAT training and is now MAAT and AATQB qualified.

As well as working on client bookkeeping, payroll, P11d’s and VAT returns including cross border VAT. On top of this she also oversees all of the auto enrolment pension contributions.

In her spare time Elizabeth loves nothing more than finding a good book to escape into for a few hours. At the weekend she’s often in the kitchen cooking up her next batch of famous chocolate brownies.

Chloe Jackson

Accounts Manager

Chloe has 12 years experience working in Practice, and during that time has worked with a varied portfolio of clients including Companies, Sole Traders and Self Assessment Individuals. She has a keen interest in Tax, and is currently studying towards her ATT Qualification. In  her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Lynn Wright

Accounts Assistant

When not at work Lynn loves to walk through the woods with her family and their Miniature Schnauzer, Dave. Lynn has two teenage girls who she ferries around most evenings to various dance clubs so life is always busy! When it’s Lynn’s turn to relax, she loves attending Pilates and Yoga classes.

Malakai Ismail

Accounts Assistant

Malakai is actively working towards completing her Level 4 AAT qualification. In her spare time she likes to listen to music and thoroughly enjoys travelling, seeing the world and experiencing different cultures.

Sam Moller

Office Manager

Samantha joined Blackman Terry in September 2020. She plays an integral role in the ‘day to day’ operation of the business supporting the entire team. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, socialising with friends and exploring new destinations in both the UK and overseas.


Josh Hough

IT Manager

I have a keen interest in IT both at work and at home. In my spare time I like to listen to music and often partake in clay pigeon shooting.

Paul Dallibar

Business Consultant

Having spent almost 20 years in financial services, Paul started in 2002 as an independent consultant and business coach. Since then he has worked with business owners and senior management, across a wide range of industries, to successfully deliver projects aimed at increasing business value.

Recognising finance is the lifeblood of business, Paul helps clients improve their cashflow through the claiming of R&D tax credits, where he identifies qualifying expenditure and prepares the technical submission required by HMRC.

He also supports clients by identifying available grant funding and successfully submitting claims on their behalf and has helped businesses source equity investment from outside investors, via his extensive network of contacts.

Married with two grown-up children, outside of work, Paul enjoys heckling officials at sporting events, cooking, the odd bottle of wine and a day at the races.

In addition to the above we have a number of team members that are progressing through their training and get involved in all aspects of our work including payroll, accounts preparation and consultancy support.
